How it works

We Collect in Person
We'll come to you to collect your photos. Every collection is tracked, insured, and handled with care. You'll never have to post your memories in the mail. We'll send you a 2-hour window
We Digitise & Curate
Your photos are scanned at high quality, colour-corrected, and neatly organised into digital folders that mirror your albums.
We Return & Deliver
Your originals are hand-delivered back to you, along with your digital copies on USB or a secure cloud link (if requested).
Choosing the Right Package
Don't worry about getting it perfect - choosing a package is simply your best guess. Every photo collection is different, and our weight-based packages are designed to make things easy.
If you're unsure whether your box is closer to 1kg or 2, just pick the one that feels right. When we collect your photos and bring them back to our studio, we'll weigh and confirm everything for you.
If your collection is under or over your chosen package, we'll be in touch straight away:

Collection – We Come to You
When you place your order, you'll choose a collection date that suits you. On the day, we'll confirm a 2-hour arrival window by email and SMS, so you'll always know when to expect us. Your photos are carefully sealed, logged, and scanned into our tracking system the moment we collect them - creating a secure chain of custody from start to finish. Every order begins with a handshake, not a shipping label.
Digitisation & Updates
While your photos are being digitised, you'll receive clear updates at every stage of the process. You can check your order status online at any time — from Collected → In Progress → Complete. We believe transparency builds trust, so you'll never wonder where your memories are.
Safe Return Delivery
Once your digitisation is complete, we'll call you personally to arrange a convenient delivery time. Your originals are returned in the same condition they were collected, along with your new digital archive — on USB, or ready to view in your Everstory Vault. Handled locally. Tracked completely. Delivered by the same team who collected your story.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from just scanning my photos myself?
Home scanners can capture images, but Everstory preserves memories. We use professional-grade equipment and handle your photos with the same care you would. More importantly, we do everything for you - from collection to digital organisation - so you never have to spend hours feeding a scanner or worrying about losing quality or order.
What quality or resolution do you scan at?
All photos are scanned at 300 dpi quality, with the option to upgrade to 600 dpi. We use professional feeder scanners calibrated for accurate colour, contrast, and tone.
How long does the process take?
Typical turnaround is 7-10 working days days from initial collection to final delivery. Fast track service available.
Why do you charge by weight?
We designed our pricing to be simple, transparent, and stress-free. Counting individual photos can be time-consuming and confusing - especially when you have hundreds or thousands. Charging by weight or package size lets you know the full cost upfront, with no surprises and no need to estimate photo counts yourself. It's fair, predictable, and keeps the focus on what matters most - bringing your memories back to life, not counting them.
How do I know my photos are safe?
Your collection is tracked from pickup to delivery using our internal chain-of-custody system. We're fully insured and handle every job locally in the Cotswolds.
How are the photos organised when returned (albums, folders, labels)?
Your digital images are organised to mirror the way you provided them - by album, envelope, or box. Each set is placed in a clearly named folder, and file names follow a clean, sequential system so your photos are easy to browse and locate.

Yes. We can remove photos from albums or scan full pages — whichever you prefer.
What if I have more photos than my package allows?
No problem. We'll count your collection when we scan it and get in touch to let you know.

Yes, depending on the damage to the photo, or the restoration required, we can provide a custom quote for photo restoration.

Are my photos ever shared with anyone else?
Never. Your photos are treated as completely private from the moment they’re collected. We don’t use, share, or show your images to anyone outside Everstory - ever. Each collection is handled securely by our trained in-house team only. Once your service is complete and you've downloaded your cloud link or received your USB, all working copies of your photos are securely deleted from our systems.
Do you have a safeguarding policy?
Yes. While your photos are private, Everstory also has a legal safeguarding duty. If, during scanning, our team ever encounters images that show evidence of abuse, exploitation, or illegal activity, we are required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities. This policy protects vulnerable individuals and ensures Everstory operates responsibly and ethically. Outside of those rare circumstances, your photos remain entirely confidential and are never viewed or shared beyond the digitisation process.
